I never met Sybil but I was touched by and purchased 4 of her art pieces around 2002 when I built my Hatteras Island vacation rental home in Buxton, NC. The pieces have oriental shapes that say Friendship, Dream, Kindness, and Love. They have hung in the stairway of this house for hundreds of guests and family members to remind us of the importance of living those words among friends, family, and people we don't even know. I googled Sybil's name to try to get some help with retaping the black tape on the edges of the "framed" art pieces and was sad to see she has passed. She joins our 10-month old Savannah Caroline who passed in 2010. Hopefully she will help Savannah learn to do artwork and practice those words above, as well as look over us and help us do the same. To Sybil's family, thank you for her small but appreciated contribution to my life and those others who were touched by her art and words on my walls.
